I grow in a organic soil less medium (bio terra Plus). IDK if PPM meters are 100% necessary but i got one just to see whats up.
i tested my water, here are my results
right from the tap: 1690ppm
Water sitting for 3 days : 1560ppm
having said that, ive never paid attention to my ppms.. i distill my water and aerate it for 3 days for my feedings, then just right from the tap on the days i water.
i checked my feeding schedule with my nute company website (GH Flora Series) and it mentions my ppm should be 600-800. lol thats will feeding, im almost double that before i add nutes..
is this why i have a bit of cal/mag def.. i use cal mag and Epsom salts. but i always always have cal/mag def 1-2 weeks into flower.. nothing significant but enough im positive im affected my yields.
the question i have is, with a soill ess mix.. is it okay to have really ppms? or am i having to much ppms and its locking some out? is there a way to lower my water ppms significantly?
