ppm and base nutrients

im running a 6 ft NFT table and im week 3 into flower. i am using FluroDuo nutes. in my ignorance i have been using 1ml of A and 2ml of B per gallon in a 8 gallon res my whole flower cycle, not taking plant growth into consideration as far as adding nutes. so im suffering some defficiencies. i just got a blue lab ppm pen and my ppm was 230 last night, wayyyy tooo low. i want it at about 800.so i added nutes(1ml of A and 2 ml of B per gallon(8gal res). it went up to 430. i checked again today an it went down to 360, my ph went down from 6.2 to 6.0. so my question is obviously i need to add more nutes, so do i add my base nutes in the same amounts until it reaches 800? how do i calculate how many ml of each nute to put in to reach the appropriate ppm level?

Basically the PPM should stay the same. When you ckeck it and the PPMs and decrease over the time, this means the plants are drinking more nutes, then water. If the PPMs increase over a period, this means there are to man nutes and the plant is sucking water. If the PPMs stay relatively the same it means your feeding them perfectly.

If your ppm's went from 230 to 430 by adding 1ml of A and 2ml of B, I would asume that by adding 2ml of A and 4 ml of B you would end up with 830ppm's, however it's not an exact science, it would only be trial by error, as far as ph droping after feeding, to me that's normal, my ph always drops after feeding, I just readjust to my desired reading. but for me I never check my ppm's after feeding, I'm sure many will say that's a no no, but it works for me and I've never had any problems.

ya i know about the increase of ppm means its taking on more water and deacreasing its taking more nutes, but i was not specific enough. i did not add 1 ml of A and 2 ml of B only. i added 8ml of A and 16 ml of B in the 8 gallon res. so that in fact would be 1ml and 2ml of each. so just continue sdding 1ml of A and 2ml of B per gallon until my ppms are stable? and you said you dont check ppms after feeding? can you elaborate on that for me man? im doing NFT so i have constant water circulation and i measure after i add my nutes and then check ppms again the next day to see the fluxuation in ppms. would that be the correct way to get accurate readings? thanks so much guys for the replies!!

its the ratio that matters. If its a 1:2 formula then add one part A and 2 parts B until you get to the PPMs you want.
Check your PH and PPMs daily and adjust as needed. PH should swing between 5.5 and 6.2. I personally think a 1.6EC is to strong for nutes but its way less than a lot of people on pot forums use. I keep mine between 1 and 1.2EC.
you should also change your rez every couple weeks because as plants use more or less of certain nutes the PPMs will be "correct" but there will be a too much of the one the plant isnt using causing imbalances.

trial and error... add a little, test ppm. add a little more, test ppm... get it to where you want and remember how much you added. And like the other posters said, keep the ratios the same.
