Potting up and watering(advise needed)

Hey noobie outdoor grower here, trying my luck in pots this year seeing as last year was not a success. I transplanted from keg cups to one gal about 1 1/2 weeks ago and my plants have Easily doubled in size. Been watering every three days with approx 500 ml, they were looking happy healthy until I watered them this morning and checked back 8 hours later to find that a couple of the bigger stronger ones are drooping, woulda thought it would be the little ones not being able to handle the amount of water the big ones can. I did put probably 500 mils of milk in a two gal bucket then put my rain water on top of that, if this is a bad idea someone please stop me lol, all in all I'm not overly worried with a little dooping just not nice to see when they were doing so well. Would I be better off watering at night instead of in the am before a hot day? Also when I do pot up should I go to five gal or should I put them in threes, should I post my bigger ones up right away and wait for the smaller ones to catch up?

Biggest crime newbies do and often is over water

always go by weight of the pot

and its good to starve them some too

after serious discussion over the years

16:30 is the best time to water

as much as I hate to admit it...lol

they should be in 3 usg now and if hot as you say pot them to 7usg

it gives the roots some place to hide form that heat,

I use empty white trash bags as a pot refector

others paint one side of pot to keep it cool

good luck

Hey thanks for the reply, quite possibly right about the roots not liking the heat the patio stones they were one were quite warm. I'll put them in bigger pots asap
