Potential Issue?

Hi All,

Wanted to get your opinion on my plant. The plant looks healthy but I noticed the leaves are starting to droop slightly. I noticed it 2 days after increasing my ppm from 175 to 275 during my weekly water change, but I scaled back to 225 when I seen the drooping. My reservoir is well aerated light at 24 inches @~10k lux, humidity between 45-50, temp averaging 72 and have good air flow, using GH nutrients. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Looks p good to me.

How much space do you have between net pot and water? Maybe needs a little more air on the roots.

I have the net in a 5 gallon bucket, so there should be 7-8 inches to the bottom. I lifted the net and the roots look perfect. My system is continuous drip, the only thing I noticed is about an inch of water is pooled in the bottom due to the height of the return lines and the roots are in it. But it has 6 inches of roots exposed to the air.

Ohhhhh. Ok.

So you top feed?

And the water returns to a res?

So you do not let water sit in the 5 gallon except for a little bit in the bottom?

Which if true...is almost the same as I grow. I fill the entire bucket with clay pebbles. Top feed and water returns to res.

If you got roots sitting in stagnant water at the bottom that is not a good thing.

You can get a tray that fits under the 5 gallon bucket that has a fitting on it you can attach a hose to.

Cut holes in the 5 gallon and put it on one of those trays maybe.

But I would consider changing your set up around so you don't have water sitting in the bucket.

I use normal pots filled with pebbles on a flood drain table I got at the hydro store. Attached a drain to 1 side.
