Potency. Strain vs Growing Method?

I've been chatting to a few growers about this and allot of them agree that the way you grow your plant is more important than the actual strain you are growing.

What is your opinions about this?

Disagree from personal experience.

I have a multi strain perpetual grow. Grown in the same environment, lighting and nutes there is a difference between the strains Ive run.
Cant even compare the buzz quality of Hashplant Haze (KO smoke) w/ say Greenhouse The Church (Average buzz at best).
Ive run 15+ strains over the last 18 months, theres a reason some strains havent made the cut and are no longer in my grow.

me say that close to 90 percent of plants predetermined outcome is in the genetics if in the grow why waste time with the cups award in denmark for diff strains why not just give it to farmers

dont we wish that insted of paying for genetics coud just get any old grade c smoke and turn it into some bomb dank funk i dont think so

i wish though i just bought rez chemdog d x soudiesel ten pack i only got one female and one male from it very poor germ rate /but that one female i took 4 clones and grew the male and pollenated two lower branches im in week 9 of flower and week 4 of polenation

this one plant is outfucke rageous health vigor size of buds smell looks i cant wait to try her out stank dank funk diesel hashy smell loaded with trichs
this plant alone looks and smells like it will be almost worth the money alone and i did nothing special but grew it the plant grew itself ...thats why i say it is in the genetics but you must be a good grower to get the most from the genetics

and i strongly feel someone that cant grow can get a poor plant from good genetics /as well as someone that is a grow god can tke a shit genetic plant and get a good desent bud from growing it the best it could give.

and thats all i got to say about that

I think its a bit of both because if your going to throw some NL's in the soil and leave them to fend for themselves you are going to end up with a weaker potency, yeild, and not to mention tons of seeds. But if you put them in a pot under some nice lights and feed them the best nutes maybe even play them a bit of Mozart then you will have some kick ass plants.

well put, the strain has what it needs and what it can handle. You can give it what it needs and it will grow....you can give it more that what it needs within its limits and you have a better yield and high...there are so many factors and you can only grow that one plant one way at a time, i think both are important but ultimately it is about how you care for the plant and treat it that determines the outcome.

I have the same strains as a buddy and i use FFOF, FF trio nutes w/solubles and i use LED. My buddy uses HPS and only the FF TRIO...our pots are exactly the same...
what we are seeing is that his plants are way taller due to the lights, my plants are shorter and bushier...i think this is just LED vs HPS

Mine are budding way faster and the sites are a lot bigger, i believe this is due to the fact i am using the solubles and they are geared to increase buds and flowering....point is the nutes are increasing the plants yield i believe. Not to mention i had LED's and i am kicking his ass with his HPS. Mine look 4 weeks older ahead of his...

Plants that are smaller mature faster than larger plants,,, got that outta my grow bible. Its kinda logical too,,the bigger plants take longer to mature because they have more of themselves to mature, than smaller plants. Also I bet his yeild may be later than yours but it should be larger.(in dryed wieght.)
yes the solubles, like top max, do increase buds site numbers and size so that will be helping,,
Im not saying defo,, just rasing the point.
