silly Q:is it better to have white pots instead of black,becus black gets hotter for the roots an dry the soil faster?

white will reflect the light better making it cooler but it also will let light in and ur girls roots definitely wont like that , so use black and if ur worried about the rootball gettin to hot use black pot for plant and then put whole plant in white pot

Listen ill type slower so u will understand : White reflects better than balck, white is lighter than black so it could let light in underrrrrrrstand now. Dont be a douche u dont sound cool knockin someones elses post .the whole point of RIU is to help each other out. if i wanted to argue with someone i would just email my exwife ,so try to be mature when online with other adults , and if i wanted to lower myself to ur level i could physically and verbally abuse u but i wont so dont bother to thank me just dont respond and if u do act ur age because i cant stand internet tuff guys .

The color of the pot has 0 to do with how opaque it is. A solid white pot isn't going to let any substantial amount of light in to get to your roots.

I have done any tests myself, but putting a white pot INSIDE a black pot also not going to stop heat from accumulating.

I do see a lot of asinine remarks throughout the day, does make me laugh. If you think a white pot would be cooler you shoudl go for it. Personally, I don't think it's going to make a substantial differenc.e

when i grow indoors or outdoors in soil i use a black pot because i dont think its going to make that big of a difference but some people opt to put there black pots in white pots to reflect the light(Heat) Thats coming straight from the Medical Marijuana Indoor Outdoor Bible by Jorge.

My view also

Also if the pots are getting so hot that the water is moving up inches through the soil to evaporate then your plants themselves are probably getting burned pretty hard.

I reccomend english lessons as well. He had a completely valid question and you tried to rip him for it.

yes, if your outside in a location like south texas where our sun can be brutal ,it is better to use lighter colored containers

well heres a question im 2 of my pots are like translucent blue, is that bad?

the were free, found em in my garage

I wasnt rippin rfneck, his question was legit, however jeffchr's wasnt, he had a attitude with his response that was totally uncalled for,sort of like urs, i try to help not argue u need to mind ur own business and re read the original post before u type something u apparently know nothin about. What is up with everyone wanting to be confrontational .How hard is it to not de a total dick slapper. If u guys want to attack someone u shouldnt be on this site its not for that , so if u want to argue go to a highschool chatroom where its to be expected.

Well their talking about a pot getting so hot that it's uncomfortable for the roots, so depends on your situation. A can of generic white spray paint is only a tad over 1$ last I looked at lowes.

I never claimed that you were ripping rfneck. I quoted you to ensure accuracy. Apparently your reading comprehension skills are as polished as your english skills.

My attitude was completely called for. You are an illiterate twat who calls other people names on the forums for point out your glaring ineptitude. If you are going to give advise please be sure you can relay the necessary information clearly and easily. Otherwise you may as well not give any advise as all you do is confuse.

Still not sure what highschool chatrooms have to do with any of your previous points (hint: there is no correlation other then your poorly formed attempt at a jab) so I'll leave it at this.
