Pop Up Greenhouse To Get Over The Finish Line

Posted this comment in a thread yesterday, but moving to its own to see if y’all have opinions (and we know ya do so hit me with ‘em

As time gets tighter and tighter for a few of the outdoor ladies to finish, what are the groups thoughts on a hoop house? I’m gonna try and run them out there for as long as I can, but since it’s only two that are lagging, when the time comes, wondering if this is a viable solution. Cheap as chips on Amazon and feels like spending $80 to get two plants over the line, might be worth it. Size still being worked out, but something like the attached (dinky side shelves would have to come out, natch).

How many plants going in there? I have one that broke a couple years ago. It's gonna be tight depending on plant size.
Could you put posts up, and use a clear tarp to cover them from the rain so they still get sun?

Edit: The pole connectors on that are cheap plastic. I wouldn't get that if you're really want to house your plants. Maybe even just make a DIY frame out of pvc.

It’s only two plants, but they are not small. It would fill that pop up entirely. Backyard is largely paved/interlock, so stake and loop might be tricky with no real anchor point. Look, maybe I’ll be surprised and be met with above seasonal October weather and they finish out, maybe. It’s just a shame as these plants are gonna be healthy yielders so lookin to eek out what I can

Yeah same here...Just 2 plants but they will fill a 4 x 8 tent. They are only 5' tall so they would fit too, and likewise, I know there's a good pound there easy so worth some effort.

Those are gorgeous (and hefty!) I’m no where near a pound on these two 10g pots, it’s just not in my dna to bail on a plant if something can be done

Hell yeah! You might be surprised what you get!! And anything is worth saving!!

I have used 10 gallon bags outdoors in past years, but this year I got a couple 40 gallon bags, and I'll never go back.

Only bad thing is they are not easy to move.

Greenhouse will work fine, though they can get quite humid when crammed full.

For the cheap price, you could perhaps get one for each plant and lift the plastic up slightly at the bottom for more airflow.

Make sure you peg them down though, as they get airborne quite easily on windy days.

Learnt that the hard way and had to retrieve one from a neighbour a few gardens down haha.
