Poll: F.I.M or topping how do ya feel?

I'm part way through my first grow, and have reached that 4-5 5-6 node range. I chose to F.I.M a couple and to top a few others to get a real feel of how the two different methods go down. Just wondering how the community feels at large between the two methods. Haters always welcome but good conversation is what I'm hoping for.

Can you take some closeups? Looks like you topped before the 2 news colas got +1 cm. That will set you back
Fim is fun. Lets see if it creates 2-6 new branches
Topping is predictable. I have yet to try FIM

My strat: 4 nodes, keep the branches from the 3rd and there you go 4 even branches to work with at the same hight and if not pinch. Pinch all day to create a cannopy so branch after branch can catch up
 
Sometimes I mainline, sometimes I'm lazy and just top for X number of bud sites, but I always top no matter what. If you want big fat buds to impress people with mainline to 8 bud sites, but usually I like around 15 to 20 per plant. Your goal is just to fill up your space with bud sites, so you tailor it to your footprint and plant limits.

I've only just started to grow. The first (and only) F.I.M was a real 'fuck, I missed' I didn't trim enough and the leaves just grew back! Topping has worked quite well and I'm just about to start my first manifold - I've just reached enough nodes to start tomorrow I think.

I do a little of them all. All have their place. LST is probably the most helpful and least stressful.

FIM and Topping do their thing though. I top once or twice early on. Then start tying. And if I feel it needs it, do the FIM thing, but rarely use it.
