Pocahontas Strain

Here's the setup. I've got two chambers to grow in. They are 30"x20"x92" each. There's a space between the chambers that I've have heated to 28C (82.4F) and I have the door slightly open to allow the convection of the hot air to keep the air flowing. This is my temporary ventilation system until I get some fans to exhaust the air from the chambers into the space between them. I also have two fans on each light frame blowing the hot air of the lights down and keeping the chambers' temperature consistent. As for lights, I'm running a poor mans CFL set up. The frames at the top have 4 x 23w=100w and two of the same a little lower down. I'm going to get a 400w digital ballast, reflector and hps/mh set up asap. The temperature at the base of the plants is 21C (70F).

I started them in pots with peat pellets surrounded by expanded clay pebbles. My system is NFT. I'm using general hydroponics flora series. I used this nutrient calculator http://www.genhydro.com/calculator/index.html to determine how much solution to use. I set it to 10 L of water in the reservoir and nutrients in mL. Then I calculated 30% of the results. Recently I've upped it to 40%. I'm supplementing CO2 with 6 x 710mL and 2 x 2 L bottles of sugar and yeast.

Right now I'm trying to keep a perpetual harvest going. The plan is to take clones from one chamber, right around the beginning of flowering, and start them in the next chamber. I'm still finding out how long this strain takes to flower under these conditions, and how long I need to veg her for. Recently I've had trouble with cloning. Using this fine site I've learned that I should use a gel type rooting solution and much more from these sites;

http://weedfarmer.com/cannabis/cuttings.php
So I've taken two of my clones that haven't taken root yet, cut the ends again, and put them in new pellets. I'm not to confident that they will survive.

I also learned on this site that you can take a clone anytime, vegging or flowering. I've taken two cuttings from my flowering girls.

Chamber B has 37 days since I started the 12/12 cycle, 25 days ago they showed sex. Chamber A has 4 hopeful clones.

Chamber B is now at day 62 since the 12/12 cycle started. After some discussion on the forums I've learned that I'm burning the shit out of my ladies. I downed my formula from 40% to 20% and took some control pictures. It looked like they were still burning a little so now I'm down to 10% of the GH flora series. Now I'm just waiting for them to ripen. It's tough to look at those burned leaves when I go to shake my CO2 bottles but the buds are still growing...

Chamber A is now full of life again. Thanks to everyone on the forums for the advise on cloning. No more wet feet! I've upgraded my hydro set up a bit by surrounding the root and water reservoirs with styrofoam. My reasoning is this will keep the temperature stable, block light, and block sound. I've also increased the size of my root chamber.

Right now I have to top piece of styro off until she's tall enough. I'm running 10% solution.
