Plz help need to know just a little info have pics

HAVE 4 BABIES THAT HAS BEEN UP FOR ABOUT 2 AND A HALF WEEKS. WAS USING CFLS BUT IT GOT TO BE A PROBLEM ADJUSTING LIGHT. SO I WENT WITH A 175W HPS AND A 175W MV FOR VEGITATION. PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TELLING ME THAT MY MV IS NOT DOIN AS GOOD AS A MH. SHOULD I CHANGE MY MV AND ALSO IM USING ALL FOXFARM PRODUCES, WHEN IS A GOOD TIME TO SWITCH FROM24-7LIGHT TO 18-6 OR IS THERE ANY NEED. IM ALL EARS WITH TIPS AND HINTS. KEEP BLAZING. :weed:View attachment 1292690View attachment 1292687

I agree with everyone who has been saying the MV is useless. No reason the HPS wont veg 4 plants on its own but if you want to supplement the hps use 6500k CFLs but cut the MV outta the picture. As far as photoperiod, there is really no reason to run 24/0. At 24/0 plants will not develop as strong of roots as an 18/6. Diminishing returns seem to be the name of the gae when you go anything over 18/6. You will also see higher ratios of females at 18/6.

right at 6.7 and i have a meter that tells me and pool strips.the next question is i just went bought a MH to replace my MV. Did i do the right thing for my vegatation reasons and also i still have my HPS on to. Is that a mistake? Thanks for being kind and helping a fellow smoke out.

I agree with AK a plants photo period at a maxium is 18 hrs from what I read so that extra six hours of light doesnt do anything for a plant. Everything in nature needs a dark period to grow and rest. And I would just drop the MV light as well, Stick the CFL's MH and HPS
