Dense canopy with 2 females in Scrog. 2 fans blowing under and one over the plants.

The fastest growing bud in the middle look like this. No browning. I believe they are filling in greener than this AM. They looked more yellow earlier this AM

My sense is that they are growing very fast and the chlorophyll hasn't caught up. Is this reasonable?

I appreciate the help. Everything looks great and I just figured it was a minor thing, but figured I'd ask.

Appreciate the thought, but soil was pre-ammended with epsom. And they are watered with hard well water (full of Ca+ and Mg)

lookslike it could be the fact that the light is too close it might not have a heat burn but could have light burn i wouldnt ever put a non air cooled 600w 12" away even with an ai cooled it might be pushing it

I agree, +rep. Could be a hot spot. The low temps at night could also be doing it. Just eliminate a variable. Raise the light a little or increase night temps. Looks good though.

Slump, thanks for that graphic.

The lights are the biggest clue. Both plants are affected, and it's just the buds in the center, right under the bulb. The bulb is in a hood with huge air moving, and there's just no heat on the plants. The light itself could be an issue, but these leaves green up nicely later. Weird, but seems harmless.

Low temps at night might be a good point to address. Eliminate a variable, as was pointed out

Again, the bulb and ballast are brand new. Maybe it's a bit intense, though not hot

if light is too intense for plants it hurts them im going to say that this is def your problem its the buds nearest to the light and the rest of the plant looks so nice and healthy .... raise it see what happens

ya what their talking about is light bleaching basicly its caused by the radiation HPS produce. Its weird cause MH dont produce as much radiation as HPS so you can have the light closer with out the sunburn.

But if it was light bleaching im pritty sure your bud would be bleached as well but it takes longer then the leaves (from my experience)

gotta be able to adjust the lights anyway right, I was just moving and adjusting my sun system 150 hps to be 6 inches lower. Its best if you have 2 or 3 plants around the bulb instead of 1 right under it, but sometimes they get set up so they can't be moved.
you could just chop the nug and the others underneath might benefit but if it is damaged from light or heat it might have lower potency or it might not ripen the way it should. the result might make you want to change something next time but the plants look fine otherwise, way to go

I hate moving my lights with these little chains. I should look at one of those cable rigs. Any suggestions?

Lights are now 15" from lamp in cooling hood.

lights are too close. ushios have lots of lumens. i keep my thousand watt lights at least 36"from the canopy. hope this helps.
