I am facing a dilemma right now. Im setting up my first tent ever :] baby steps. The dimensions are 24x24x56 inches. I purchased the ducting a carbon filter and a fan rates at 430 cfm. The problem I am facing at the moment is lighting. I am planning on doing a scrog but dont know if I should do modular or not. Im looking for a good yield quick because I am a heavy toker. I originally purchased a 400w ipower hps kit but have recently sent it back for a refund threw ebay because the cooltube was exactly 24 inches long. I have also looked inro LED for lighting, but seeing as this is my first grow I feel like I may be pushing the envelope. I know this is a very small tent, i am planning on upgrading eventually and retiring this current tent for a mother/veg chamber.

The main question I need answered is about the length of the lighting fixture.. where could I get a good kit with a length that would work well with my tent? I am planning on running ducting from a filter three the cooltube and to the exhaust.

Also any other input would be welcomed with open arms.

I'm in a similar situation as I'm currently researching and trying to setup my first tent grow. I'm considering a 20x36x62 tent but was thinking I'd be in the same dilemma of having problems fitting a cooltube reflector with ducting in that 36" and still have it be able to raise and lower the light easily. For the amount that I plan to grow, I don't need a bigger tent and I really don't what to have to make more room for a bigger one either, but I may have to figure something else out or go with a different brand tent that comes in different dimensions. Good luck, I'll keep checking in to see what you end up doing.

A 400 will be hard to cool in such a small tent. Im thinking 250 would work. ????
If you are lucky you will yield - dry - 1 gram/watt. If you are lucky and the dams don't break. A newer grower will not do that. So think about 0.5 gram/watt realistically. 125 grams max? If you are lucky! Always go big with the lights and air movement. I would swap tents out before I went less than 400 watts with cooling.

Tents are getting cheaper these days. You could get a 3x3 for under $100. I would stick with a 400 or higher as well, but If you already own the tent then look into a 250 watt hps and you don't need a cool tube for it either as long as you have good exhaust(which you have more than enough at 430cfm)
