Please help, possible fungus gnat and white tiny bugs ?? PICS INCLUDED

So this morning i woke up to turn the lights on and daily check up.
On the top of the soil was ALOT of these tiny white dots jumping and running around.
I left it for a couple of hours and came back an they were all gone.

Upon checking the bottom of the pot where the lid is to catch drained water was alot of those damn white tiny bugs and when i took the bottom away i also found a couple of these tiny wormy things.

looking on grizzly's guide to pest it seems it could be fungus gnat and possible the tiny white bugs are symphilids ?



Could people help me identify and then tell me the best way to eradicate these pest ? I have just flushed the plant with plenty of water thinking it was just symphilids but then realised the soil should be dry for the fungus gnat.

WHAT DO I DO, im freaking my shit

any advice will be appreciated.

Nevermind people. I've flushed the soil with eco neem and it looks like its done the trick. Damn those nasty ass gnats

I don't think that's a fungus gnat larvae because it's too big
Fungas gnat larvae are kind of clear skeleton type body with a black head and white stuff keeps coming out all around the body
You can't really see the fungus gnat larvae cause it's really really small but get a jewellers magnifier and you can see them in all their ugly and gross glory

They destroyed two of my newly planted babies so I quickly threw those away and changed as much of the soil on my remaining 8 that all had the larvae and then I did something they always tell you never to do which seemed to do the trick....I watered with one part of hydrogen peroxide to 4 parts of water...I first tried it on all my houseplants and they all survived. I also watered all my plants in the veg room and the bloom room (total 16 plants) with the hydrogen peroxide solution and every one is bug free and thriving. This was a last resort...I had tried the Mosquito Dunks and Neem Oil and nothing was working.
I now keep plants as dry as possible and disturb the top of the soil often so that it's loose
I also use Dr Doom bug spray with pyrethium...it gets rid of all the adults which look like small mosquitoes that fly really fast but not far.
I now keep my growrooms ultra clean and boy, was I ever overwatering.
I am on my 4th indoor grow now and have not seen them or their gross-out larvae for over a month and all my plants are doing really well. My best grow yet.

By the way...I discovered where the fungas gnats were coming from...the sewer in the basement where my grow op is. We rented a sewer snake and snaked out a bunch of roots that were slowing down the sewer stuff from going down as fast as it should have been.

Im currently kicking a fungas gnat infests ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(what I did is get yellow stcky traps cut into like 60pcs each
place 2 piece to each pot(go to Home depot get mosquito dunks I 2 dunks to 40 gal rez in sock and tied around pump tubing(after 2 days start kneeding the sock till its mushy it gets BTI in water quicker(make sure dunks say they have bacil isereali somethin like that....In bot a week youl start seeing dead larva in water,,
YOU MUST BREAK THERE CYCLE it cant get out of control fast(they come in house now cause its getn cold) Dnt let em make themseves at home they realy can fuck your roots up bad >>>>>>>>>>>>>good luck (and pm me for any follow up advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Use mosqiuto dunks w/ bacil isrealis and yellow stickys (will only work on gnats though) do you see bugs w/out wings hoppen aroond(symplyds look like little millapedes) good luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dunks then nematodes from what I hear. I have a few in hydro right now, I bet I won't be seeing them long. the adults are already certainly history so now to deal with any larvae. My hydro store had no nematodes on hand so I'm doing the dunks over the weekend and then adding the nematodes monday or tuesday, my hydro guy agreed this was the best plan.

Those definitely are fungus gnat larvae.....You will have to take action on these quick because an adult female lays around 300 eggs at one time....they have a 30 day life cycle so repeat treatment's are necessary... Use Yellow Sticky cards on the top of your soil as well as mosquito dunks (BTi) which is a bacteria the larvae eat and it kills them. Also make sure to let your soil dry out fully before you water again... I've used a clothing steamer to eliminate all the lavae in the top 2" of soil and this works great.... but with fungus gnat's there is not a kill all solution...you have to use a few things and repeat application for at least a month....

The other jumping bug's might be "springtails". There tiny and white...about the size of a pinhead, and usually you will find them when you pull back your drier top soil and reach the moist undersoil. I also have these and have read that they do not pose a threat to your plant's and actually are beneficial. The Springtails will eat the fungus/organic materials and travel to the bottom of the root mass, carrying beneficial mycos and fungi to your roots....So far the only solution for these Ive found is H2O2 which will also kill your good microbes.....

Stay vigilant with those fungus gnats.....they multiply very fast and if you let it go...they will eat the living hell out of your roots and your leaves will take on a wilty, wrinkly look....

Also I have found that making an all natural organic pest spray works pretty well for keeping them away....Mix up some boiling water with a few peppermint tea bags, 2 cigarettes, 10-20ml of neem oil, and a few drops of habenero hot sauce.... Use this to spray the top of your soil pots as well as the sides....will keep the fungus gnats away....doesn't do much for killing them however the neem is a anti-molting oil and will help prevent the larvae from forming into adults....

Azamax or Azatrol work great as well for killing the larvae quickly.....
DE or Diotomaceous Earth also can be used to cut the larvae as they crawl thru the powder...

Hope this helps....Fungus gnats are no joke...I'm battling them too and it takes a lot to get them controlled...
