Please Help!! Light question

Hey guys I need help this is my 1st time growing I'm starting off wit 3 clones my buddy gave me, since its only 3 plants I got 1 70watt hps and 1 70watt metal halide. I plan on running them both at the same time but I have no clue what kind of fixture to put them in, I don't want to buy something that's going to burn my house down. Please help?

are you looking for cheap fixtures? air cooled? do it yourself ballast kits? hydro store bought fixture?
whats your grow op like. size, ventilation, ambient temperature ( is heat going to be a big issue)?

you will need to get fixtures that will have ballasts in them to run those bulbs. each bulb will need its own ballast and the correct type for the bulb.

Ok I'm growing in my closet, I just want somethin cheap because I'm only going to grow 3 plants and just want to try it out, what type do you suggest? its a 3' by 3' closet I have a small fan to help with heat as well. So what kind would you suggest and where are some places I could purchase them?

your going to need an exhaust fan because heat will be an issue. i would rather use just one higher wattage bulb and deal with that heat instead of the heat from two bulbs. in a 3x3 room and even for 3 plants i would do a 400 watt. if thats to big than go with a 250w hps. with an air cooled reflector or hood.
home depot would have something for the do it yourselfer.
or buy a ready made from a hydro store. just examples:
