I am being given a 1000wt HPS grow light (with: 120v/240v ballast, bulb, cooltube-able reflector, cord, etc.)
I really only need 600 watts max running for my current grow.
So: Can i use a 400watt or 600watt hps bulb in a 1000 watt system?
If i CAN, (this a is really dumb question), will i still be using 1000 watts of energy, even though a 400 or 600 watt bulb is running in it??
thanks.
