You could just flower the plant early, when it is 6" or so. If you don't wish to do this, look into auto-flowering strains.

Im working on a grow in a cabinet with a total interior space of less than 10"x24"x30" and Im in my 4th week of veging planning on going till at least 4 more weeks before I start flowering. Im going to do a ScrOG grow and get a dense and compacted bed of buds and Im tingling with excitement! Dont think limited space means limited buddage! If you dream it you can grow it!

Good luck!

Peace.

UpTheDownstair knows whats up. You could also try autoflowering strains (Ruderalis). They typically stay under 20", but if you wanna stretch them more than you can get it probably just under 2 foot. The ruderalis crosses just keep getting better and better, and the ak48 auto has nearly the same THC content as most pure indica/sativa plants. Just check around the seedbanks, you'll be bound to find something short.

Well, I'm just going to say holy shit..or better yet, bull shit. Unless you are using an incandescent, 2 months of vegging would fill up that small space.

Not sure how you can say that without more info on what the light source is. My veg cab is only 24" x 14" x 36" and I've often vegged for a couple of months under CFL's with lot's of topping and LST will keep the plants short and bushy.

Guess I should have said around 4 weeks instead of at least. May very well end up being much less time than that, especially since Im using a 150 watt MH. It will all depend on how fast they grow and how the training system I have planned works out. This is only my 2nd grow so Im still learning just what to expect.

I did learn something very important my 1st time, and that's to expect a lot more growth after flowering is initiated. Not anticipating that last time completley screwed me up, so this time I'll only let them get about 1/2-2/3s as big as I want them before I flower.

Peace.

I always plan on them growing ~2-2.5 times their size during flower.

So instead of letting them get 1/2-2/3 the total size I want them I should only let them get 1/4-1/2 as big?
Yeah, I've always advised people to expect them to double or even triple in height during the flowering stretch.

I would switch to flowering at 1/3rd the height you want them to finish at, especially if you're not familiar with the strain.

ALSO POT SIZE will make a difference in height, but yeah, flowering @ 8 inches will put you 18-24" done
