yea tomatos are good cuz bugs go to them first. also the spiciest peppers possible are good too, i grew some caribean hot peppers or something and that thing scared bugs away. but the main thing is if your in a grow room indoors, you shouldnt have bugs. if your outside then i dunno. maybe some of those carnivore plants? venus fly traps and the crazy ones that have that pool of death water that bugs fall into and die?
if your thinking other plants, and not for bug issues, then whatever else ya like to grow, and consume. i like peppers a lot for food, and they are always tastier fresh. same thing with spices, oregano, parsley, rosemary (strong smell)
if your thinking other plants for smells, lavender is good, smells strong, and is great for relaxing vibes in potpourri or whatever, but to each their own i guess.
my buddy who taught me how to grow, had a orange tree in there, hydro, and those were the best damn oranges i ever tasted. amazing, and they gave off a great smell, granted those are trees and he had a huge greenhouse
