plants not drying out together.

one waters the 3 plants together at the same time. watering evenly as possible. making sure to drench them until it runs through the bottom

however, when they dry out, they DO NOT dry out together. some have crusty dry top layers (i wait until this happens to water again) and some are still a little moist

question:
does one wait until ALL three are ready to water or do you water each as needed 1 by 1?

confused because when one waters only say 1 plant, the drainage (water) from that gets absorbed by the other still kind of moist plants through their drainage holes causing those plants to take LONGER to dry out cuz the bottoms get wet and it absorbs upwards.

so should one wait for ALL three to get dry? is it ok for a plant to go a couple days COMPLETELY dry waiting for the other not so greedy plants to dry up as well?

how do you guys roll in this situation? curious as hell and googling came up with more confusion.

Should one just water them all seperately as needed in the sink and wait until all the excess water drains out and then put it back in grow spot?

Are all of them in different sized pots.
If you let them dry out to much they will start dropping leaves.
A good way to tell is to stick a pencil in the soil, if you pull it out and it's clean it's time to water, if it comes out with soil stuck to it it's not time to water yet.

Yeah, the 3 are in 1 gallon nursery right now, but they dry out at different rates. Man, a female might not even pop up.

option 1: Water them ALL at the same time waiting for the last one to dry out. Some plants might be awful thirsty for a couple days or so.

option 2: Water them each as needed in a seperate sink so that the drainage water that comes out the bottom will not get the other pots moist from the bottom up IF they were in the same place.
