Plants havent sprouted (YIKES)

i already have 4 short rider autoflowers
400w HPS
without germination i threw the seeds in the pot
now im on the 5th day and havent seen anything
i think i might accidentally watered the seedlings with bloom water but not alot to drain
i check on them but the soil jus seem compact should i wait another 2 days?
if they didnt even crack yet should i just do and germinate em also?

dude allways germ seeds in paper towel in warm dark place keep moist
to keep moister put plastic bag over the plate/paper towel
some people dont like autos

hey i put 3 seeds straight in the pot and they germed within 2/3 days and sprouted out of the soil by 5.
what could of happened is you let the seed dry out and it died or maybe you suffocated it with to much water?

true by tomorrow should i take em out n dry em off and see wats up with the seeds?

This method takes a little longer than paper towel. I've heard of people getting seedlings after 7 days when planting seed straight to soil .

As far as i know if you failed to keep moisture at the right level and the seedlings dried out for example
theres no hope left for them, becouse the seeds begin to use there food reserve and mightent have enough then for a second shot.

then again i could be wrong its bin awhile since i done biology in school ^^

yea i have im only on my 6th day also so i might wait more i mean the soil is never completely dry i always keep it moist i might wait a day or so and see what im doing to do i pray for em lol

I germ all my seeds straight in soil and so far I've never had much of a problem.
I tried the paper towel method and lost to many seeds so went back to soil.

I soak the seed in water for 10 minutes to get them moist, then plant them under the surface of most soil. The soil I use is very light and fluffy so the seeds arent watered down. My soil also has mycorrhiza which really get the roots branching out.

I keep the soil moist, but not soggy with ph 6.5 tap water until I see the sprout.

Once the seeds are above ground I water from the bottom, the soil soaks up a little bit of water to stay moist, this also drives the roots down seeking the water and food.

By the time the cotyledon leaves star to yellow and drop off the roots have filled the small dirt plugs and can be transplanted to bigger pots.
