plants burned by 400w

whats up yall, this is my first grow. have learned everything about growing from this website.
i grow in a 3 tall cabinet with a 400w hsp light bolted to the top. i put plants to 12/12 almost a week ago. guess it was to late. they grew real quick and as far as i can tel they r starting to burn. i use the hand over the light method and was pretty hot.

anyways, did i fuck up or is there somthing i can do bout it? maybe tie down the top of plants

u need to tither top your plants so they arent as close (if thats possable. if u havents gone into flowering yet) or move that light far away

how far away is the light from the plants anyways?
