plants are not getting mass is this bad?

I'm a outdoor grower move indoor this year now I know yields are different from out to in. My question is I'm running 5-7gallon smart pots my plants if I don't top them or bend or tie them down get about 2.5 feet tall I'm getting close to my grams per watts but plants stay very whimpy and small is this normal?

Maybe they need more ligth, what are you using for ligth, i have 6 plants growing in a 28gallon bin using a 600w mh/hps and there over 2 feet aswell but dont seem to be weak or any thing take a look at my pics from my post

Do you have a small fan in there to lightly blow on the plants and strengthen the branches?

How Long Is Your Veg Time? What type of Lighting? Soil? Hydro? Nutes? Indica? Sativa?....Point Being More Info You Provide The More Willing People Are too Help. Im Newb But Alot Of People Here will Give Info If the conditions are the same as yours.

If you're getting nearly a gram per watt then you are doing something right. It's most likely down to the strain you're growing. Perhaps it is just a short plant?
