Planting sprouted seeds!

What direction do I put them in the soil. I would think to use a pencil or something and make a 1 inch or half inch hole in the soil (what would you recommend?) and about the taproot facing down...Whats that, does that mean I put the seed shell in the bottom with the sprout facing upwards?

no you want the seed shell close to the surface and the roots pointing down.

You plant the seed 2 seeds (sideways) deep and the little white tip (rootlet) facing down. If it is not germinated (no rootlet) lay in there sideways. Dont pack it down.

Thanks guys. I was going to do it the complete opposite way.
I have 5 bagseeds about to sprout, and I got a vaccume box and put one 15'' floro tube and one 24'' floro tube on the sides, and I have a regular 27 watt I belive CFL hanging in the middle of the other side of the box.
This set up is just to fuck around until I can buy the lights I want and design my own little set-up.
But damn, people say pot isint addictive. I dident smoke all day yesterday and I am just feining for a nice bowl right now! get stoned and mess with my plants. Then outside I am going to plant an herb garden
