planted seeds..

let seeds soak 24 hours then planted, its been another 24 hrs after that since they've had any light due to security issues. how much longer can they sit in the soil with no light before they won't sprout?

Until they sprout. But when they break ground they need it real quick. Some on here talk about a week. I use Root Shooters in a home made seedling dome using a reptile mat and they pop with 2-3 days. Same in rockwool. How deep did you plant them?

Yeah i'd put that soaking shit in the toilet cuz it's bull shit,i got a 100% success rate with the paper towel method.Last go round i sprinkled some bloom fertz on a paper towel
(schulz bloom plus 10-54-10) tossed 20 seeds on it sprayed and folded it and put in a zip lock(left open) and tossed it in a drawer(no heating pad lol) 14 seeds popped with-in 24 hours and 6 the next day.All of them popped over the soil already i wanted to take pics but i misplaced my camera.

Like they say - there's more than one way to skin a cat. Like cloning. I use plain tap water in a taped up McDonald's cup and change the water every 2-3 days. They root 100% of the time. Just like my great-grandma used to clone every plant she ever liked. See it, like it, take a cutting and take it home. No heat mat for you in Chi Town, helps me loads here in Alaska. And mine go from seed to sprout in 2 days, 3 days max, while you're still putzing around with the seed.

Oh I understand. Guerrilla grew in southern NM for many years. Carried many a germinated seed to hell in wet paper towels. Works very well. There was no way to direct plant an ungerminated (ahead of time) seed there and have it sprout. Same with young plants started indoors. Best survival is the paper towel seed carry and prepared holes.
