Plant still eaten with fence, rat poison. Deer, squirrel and rabbit repellent help!!!

Outdoor grow in the woods. I have put more than 30 rat poison cubes on the inside and outside of the fence, they have all been eaten within a week and half. There must be some crazy nest or something? I guess the rats are climbin up the fence. Should I put a net over the entire grow? What do you guys think? Movin to a different spot is not an option. What else can I do!?!?!?! Please help!!!! Is putting a net over the entire spot my only option??? What else !??!?!!?

If I were you i would get a few rat traps and bait them with peanut butter and put them next to your pots so that when the rodents think they're going to eat your plants they'll find something tastier. But that's just my opinion, a net couldn't hurt either though.

Rats can climb anything... Sit out there one night with a pellet gun (Slug gun for aussies) and pick the rats off one by one....

Really small holed chicken wire is something rats have difficulty penetrating, it takes them time anyway...Make sure you dig in into the ground slightly. Provide other sources of food for them while you are growing in that area....

For some reason this doesn't sound like rats.

Have you seen them or their tracks?

Can you prepare the soil around your plants, inside and outside the cage, in such a way that they will leave recognizable tracks?

If so, the results would be as good as a picture. Once you know for sure you can attack effectively.

I can only picture rats going to that much trouble if nothing else is available. Rats are omnivores and will eat a bug before a pot plant.

get a little jack russel and pump him up with steroids laser feilds help too...

I agree with this but you might wana try more, get thin chicken wire (like 1/4') make cages that go all around your plants, spread mothballs around, insect spray for the leaves (to protect from insects and the taste is probably undesirable to animals), and get some game piss found at outdoor shops don't get deer piss or anything like that but like wolf or bear piss. I guess the animals are complimenting your plants by eating them, i have loads of deer that walk past my plants but never touch them.*knocks on wood*

I was having 100% losses with my outdoor transplants every week. I had camo/ wire cages, soap ,piss, fox urine, mothballs an all failed.
Im glad i made clones or my grow would have been ruined. I lost my 8 biggest ladies.

But i fianaly got some success
I had to make chicken wire root cages to keep rodents from digging in under cage to stop rabbits an gophers.
I had to add a chicken wire roofs to the cages to keep deer from sticking there head in an eating em.
Then i had Mice attack em through the chicken wire, an switched to 1/4 in square holed fenceing to stop em.

Then i got some "Biodefend Deer/rabbit repellant" THIS STUFF WORKES FOR ME! This stuff has kept 2 of my outdoor babies alive even in my old unsafe cages, for the last 2-3 weeks. I alos tried it on my friends outdoor plants an he hasent lost one yet

I would go with those stick black clue traps, or set some rat traps,or If you really love your plants... i would roll up a couple doobies,grab a themas full of coffee, the shotgun, and get it done right, get it done for sure!
