planing stages for grow box version 2.0

So my first grow is going well, but slow, due to always changing things and being a general newb about things =D. I've got two plants flowering right now (1 looks male, the other questionable - will make another post later to see if you guys can help me out when the lights turn on again). After these flower and hopefully seed I want to start my 2nd crop hopefully from new seeds and do things totally differently.

I've got 2 ~18"x18x30" rubbermaid boxes stacked on top of each other right now. I'd like to turn one into a a flowering chamber, the other for clones. I've learned that cramming as many lights in the box as possible is generally a good idea. =D. Using splitters, I can cram 12 lights on my 18x30 lid. 12 lights x 26 watts = 312 watts. Is that enough for... 5.5ish cubic feet? I also have one of those huge 125 watt CFLs (bad newb investment) that I could use as a supplement. It's okay, it just doesn't focus the light well enough.

I'd like to fit around 6 pots in there. So if I just root clones, then put them into flowering, what kind of vertical height am I looking at? What kind of yield should I expect from a plant flowered this fast? How big should my pots be if I flower them directly? The other option would be to LST the plants to keep them under 2.5' high (minus lights). If I go LST I'd probably just do 3 plants at a time with slightly bigger pots if possible.

Anyone done a compact box like this? I'm not very happy with my current setup. It's big, and a pain to maintain all the lights in there as plants grow into them. I'd rather just have the lights on the top and saturate 1 bud site, or an LST'd plant.
