Pictures and Questions for Deep Purple

Here are my three DP plants. They are around 16-19 days from germination. I am growing in a stealth box with 222 watts of daylight/5000K CFL's plus a 26 watt warm white/2600K cfl. Im just curious on how these plants are growing. Are they on the right track for DP? Comments would be appreciated.

1st one looks fine. the others look like they're having nutritional / ph issues. What are you feeding them and what soil are they in?

why do you say? if its cause of the yellow tinge that is camera caused, their a good green. I have them in a basic organic potting soil, havent fed them any nutrients yet just watering them with distilled water.

Cus the leaves are bumpy/small and not smooth like it should be. Overall stunted look compared to the plant in the first pic.

Is it a really good potting soil? I had this problem when I used to grow in soil, if they've shown no change in growth for a few days then it's most likely that PH is off.
and I think they could start using light nutes.

here's a picture for comparison (2 weeks from seed):

Do you think they could possibly be mutated? Because they are all grown in the same soil. I figured the two other plants looked like that cause they were a different phenotype then the other. All three are growing relatively the same speed which is slow (thought is was cause of the DP genetics). But the one on the far left is about four days older then the others. I will watch closely these next couple of days, how much growth should I expect in a couple days with DP?

Nope it's not mutated. I've had this before.
"how much growth you should expect" isn't as important so much as, "has the plant changed in size/shape at all over the last few days?" If the answer to the latter is no then you've got a PH problem.

I would suggest testing the PH. Getting a PH testing kit and making sure I was maintaining the right PH in the medium solved all growth issues I was having with my plants.

If you're worried about it growing slow I would suggest feeding it light nutes, unless you have some really really good soil.

Oh yea I forgot to say that overwatering can also cause deformed leaves.

I have popped like 30+ TGA seeds and there's nothing like this in the genes. A lot of times what people think are mutations are simply caused by issues with their growing environment.

hey thanks a lot. i only water it once a day but im thinkin that might be to much. The soil is fairly dry before I water but im gonna dry it out a little longer. I cant imagine it being a PH problem, atleast i hope not. thanks for the insight.

If you're completely drenching the soil once a day, that is too much. The CFLs aren't really gonna dry out the medium that fast anyway.

I grow in coco and I'm supposed to water even more often than soil growers cus coco dries out fast; but I have plants your age and I only water them once every 3-4 days. When they completely fill the pot and drink fast enough to make the container feel light, is when you should water as much as once a day or every 2 days.

I am having much better luck with my second try at DP's. I am pretty sure the mutants of my last grow were not genetic problems, but ph problems. Now that i'm checking ph and ppm's (5.7 and 350ppm) every day the plants are growing well. I had to kill 2 out of the 6 sprouts to stay compliant w/ mmj, these are my keepers. I killed a leaner, and one who's first 3 leaf set was one big maple leaf. My flower room won't be available for another 30 days, so I'm gonna start topping and bushing soon.

They are preflowers, he did not have to force sexing , they showed in veg. Good stuff . 1 and 3 do not seem to show anything yet so keep close eye on, 2 and 4 are males. Males show first and they will not shed pollen in veg. Nice coloring on the stems you got there.
Peace
