i started 2 critical jacks tues. they sprouted yesterday. died today? lol ive only started from seed once. ive cloned my last 3 grows. i have no clue what happened? Ive never had 1 seedling die but i just had 2of2 die?

my lights were fair maybe 12" away and they were cfls. so i dont think that ws the issue. coco was prepared correctly to the correct ph level. 5.8

maybe my coco was too damp? is that a possibility? i have 2 more seeds ready to put in soil. now im scared bc 2 died and i dont know what i did wrong.

any advice would be great.

thanks

EDIT: When I wrote this I was the first post, with the new info the OP posted you can disregard the part about rinsing, obviously you did it the coco if its used, lol.

Did you rinse the coco well first? This happened to me when I tried coco, killed a $12 Super Silver Haze clone, the reason is some coconut farmers, after they harvest, soak the coconuts in a netted off section of the ocean to make it easier to remove the hull, this causes salt water to be absorbed in the hull, when the water dries the salt stays behind, thus the need to rinse certain brands of coco very well before use. I know you said you prepared the coco to the correct PH level but you didn't mention about rinsing, this leads me to believe that is your issue, if however you did rinse the coco well, then I really couldn't say what the problem is without knowing more details about your setup, like are you using tap water or RO water? If you have a digital PH meeter is it calibrated correctly? What are your lights/how close? What are your temps, etc?

ya i filtered out the roots from old harvest. lost alot of the choir. the straw stuff that kinda looks like roots.

literally flush it straight tap water constant flow for 20 min in 7gl smart pots so i got no over flow.. then flush with water+epson salt 5.8 6 gallons of watter. then gave it a light feeding with fox farm bloom, and light cal mag and again epsom salt then let sit for 24 hours.

popped in 2 seeds tues

temps 72 degrees.

lights cfls. 200w total. about 12" from plant.

PH is calibrated 1x a week. so its good

Yea like the others said it actually doesn't look too bad at all, based on the pictures its got good color and looks to be a healthy seedling IMHO, what makes you think its dieing? As long as you listen to what it tells you and take care of its needs it should do just fine, might even surprise you and be the best shit you've ever seen, never know.
