pH meter and microscope?

The radio shack scopes work, but what kind of quality do you expect for $12? That pH meter sucks and it doesn't look waterproof. A cheap pH pen is like $50 and that ebay one is $8. Don't expect it to be accurate for very long. Spend some money on a good pH pen, it's worth the peace-of-mind knowing your plants are in the pH zone where they will thrive. I'd suggest Eco Tester PH1: http://www.wormsway.com/detail.aspx?sku=WET500&AC=1 ...it's accurate, stable, easy to calibrate and waterproof.

I read about the Milwaukee 600 pH tester seems to be a good deal and works pretty good.

Just set the scope on top of a leaf or bud with trics and focus. I agree it's not super easy to use and takes a little practice, but it gets the job done. I'd trust your Milwaukee 600 pH tester over no-name stuff on ebay. Personally, I've found when I try to cheap out on a purchase, I always wind up spending more as that POS that saved me money to begin with usually needs replaced soon after purchase.
