Ph in soil

My town supply is between 7 and 8.5ph I'm in soil is it worth while me investing in a ph pen and controlling this to 5.5 to 7?

Will I see an improvement in plant health and/or yield?

Is it worth getting this technique down before moving to coco?

This is my third grow I've got the other stuff down so am now moving to using and learning about nutes canna terravega and terra flora. Aswell as ph is there a next technique you'd recommend i learn?

Any resources on how measuring ph works appreciated.

Cheers!

Yes, just started some clones in soil after rooting ph was high. I got a 9.99 one that does ph, moisture, and light. Watered them with some ph lowered water they are sitting about 6.5 now. Growth started happening quicker. So I would say yes get a pH pen will help a lot yes having correct amount of nutrients and correct ph will increase amount. Have you tried LST your plant?
