I’m feeling less paranoid than usual and decided to make a thread, documenting my way through an experiment.
After being inspired many moons ago by drbudgreengenes (icmag forums) I always wanted to do a perpetual SOG. It is time.
This Guava Fritter seedling was an unplanned pregnancy from bud I bought from a local dispensary. Will take a clone soon and put it in 12/12 as soon as rooted for sexing. It’s ~1 week old.
Other genetics will make an appearance in the near future (Cheese and C99, coming soon). The goal is to have a few solid bonsai moms for the SOG clones. Flowering will take place in 16 oz and 1 liter bottles for comparison. There’s going to be lots of experimenting as it gets dialed in.
I’ve a few different tools to work with when it comes to lighting: 150w CFL (dual spectrum), 210w (actual) Samsung LED (dual), an old 400w MH / HPS cool tube + bulbs with low hours on them, and various house light LED bulbs.
Flower tent is 3 x 3. Clones and Mothers will be kept micro style 24 h in a small dresser converted for growing with the household LEDs. Clones will be flowered at different heights ranging from 1”-6”. It will be several grows before I get it right so if you feel like it, stick around, learn from my mistakes and maybe giggle a few times.
I owe a good bit of the SOG idea to dr bud. I’ll talk more about his methods throughout the grow as I’ve heavily researched everything he’s posted
You’ll also see me make fertilizers with a combination of Korean Natural Farming and JADAM. My soil will be recycled and I’m aiming to need to not buy anything but seeds.
Not interested in doing things the “right” or designer way, I mostly want to have fun and try some shit.
