Penalities for Growing Shrums

I have some mushroom spores here and I was told that the spores are not illeagle in USA. Its only after the spores start growing that they become illeagle. And ive heard that either growing mushrooms or selling them in USA can get me a manslaughter charge. What are the charges/penalities for growing/selling mushrooms?

It's illegal to cultivate them pretty much everywhere in the world. They can throw the book at you, as they're classed as a hard drug. Don't let that put you off though, shroom spores have been selling like hotcakes for a few years now.

In order for law enforcement to charge you with manslaughter, you have to have KILLED someone. Possession of a controlled substance is NOT manslaughter. Your friend is either retarded, naive, or pulling your chain.

Now, if you sell or give someone a controlled substance and they die... you could probably be charged with negligent homicide. Manslaughter charges are typically reserved for "unintended" homicide (drunk driving resulting in someone's death, hitting someone with your vehicle, etc) where intent to maim or kill can't be established, but the action resulted in someone's death.

I know growing a marijuana plant is a felony so growing mushrooms probably is too. But which is worse.. what are the penalitites or charges they can give me... also how much prison time am i looking at. Or is growing pot and mushrooms the same charge or penality?

Yeah I doubt you would get jail time with a little amount of shrooms..probably probation and a fine for your first offence. Not positive but you can find out by a simple google search.

I don't know about easier, but it sure seems like more fun =) Growing cannabis is like growing any other plant, for the most part. /yawn

In my state, possession of psilocybin mushrooms is a felony of the lowest class (which means least jail/prison time), whereas possession of marijuana is a misdemeanor.

The loophole is that they have to prove you "knowingly and intentionally" possessed a controlled substance. With mushrooms this is pretty easy to get around, because there are many varieties of mushrooms that look just like the "magic" kind.

Seems to me that the penalties for drug possession should be uniform among drugs that are in the same schedule, but our laws never seem to make much sense. For instance, there's a stiffer penalty for possessing cannabis in a correctional facility than there is for selling drugs to schoolchildren. It's also a felony to bounce a check over $200, but a person working in a nursing home can beat up your grandma and that's a misdemeanor. Go figure.

Really? Are you sure about that? I thought all the states had done away the mandatory minimums..for possession, anyway. Mind if I ask what state you're in?

Shroom grow wild here in the uk and it is only illegal when you start cooking them up. Not illegal to grow in UK.

From what I have discovered, it's a pain in the ass to grow em.

Contaminants
Flow hoods
glove boxes
pressure cookers
liquid cultures
growing mediums
substrates
sterilization
perfect temprature
etc, etc

There is for sure an art/science to it that I have yet to get right.

Some say it's easy, but is has been far less than that for me so far.

Have you ever heard of a "mushroom grow house bust"? No. I'm pretty sure you'd have to be the mushroom kingpin of your state for them to even acknowledge that you're growing em. Don't worry about it and use the syringe to inoculate some substrate.

Someone here got busted growing pot and shrums recently. It was on the news.

I still cant find any laws sorrounding mushroom growing in USA.

I have found that its not illeagle to possess, give, trade, buy, selll shrum spores in USA except georgia and california. And in florida its not illeagle to posess wild magic mushrooms

But nothing for growing or distrubting the fresh mushroom... ive been googleing it for hours now with nothing turning up
