Pc grow case using soil

This blog is a journal to help me and others learn (with the assistance of those wiser than me), how to grow weed using soil ( I tried to grow using DWC and messed up twice) in a PC Grow Case. So come on in.... all visitors are welcome

OK, here's my setup: I have a PC case that is 26.5H x 18.6D x 8.1W with 3 fans over 100 cfm's (2-intakes and 1-exhaust) and adjustable lights.



I'm using 2-6500k and 1-2700k CFL lights and 24/0 cycle. The soil I'm using is Ocean Forest. The nutes are Recipe For Success Starter Fertilizer Kit. I germinated 3 Chronic seeds April 22, 2010. Here we go


Day 1: April 29, 2010
Newly sprouted seeds are placed under lights, 2-6500k and later, I add 1-2700k


l lost 2 of these when I tried using DWC for the 2nd time.



Day 4: May 3, 2010
Check my baby, she (hopefully) is looking great





Day 6: May 5, 2010
OK, my baby is look pretty good to me. I decide to transplant her and start the veggie cycle and 18/6 light cycle.






Day 17: May 22, 2010
I'm alternating her nutes (just increased her nutes to 1/2 the recommend dose) and just pH(6.0-6.5) water every other watering. I read on one of the RIU posts that when the plant wanted water, water it but the next watering, feed her. Check her out and tell me what you think.









Here are pictures of the 2 babies I have on reserve just in case something happen to this baby girl (HOPEFULLY). Day 8 for them, I'm trying to get strong roots with 24/0 light cycle and my homemade pc case I made.

If smell is an issue, you might want 1 intake and 2 exhaust to keep a negative pressure going through the carbon filter...

Looks really good in any case... I love PC grows

Also you might want to put your CFL's on some sort of mover (up/down) so that the lights can always be 1-2 inches from the plant. Stretching is no good for a PC grow

1 more thing: Any interest in doing 12/12 from seed next time? Will keep the heighth down and give bud a little over every 2 months...

There is a guy on here that is the king of PC grows from what I've seen. His name is v12xjs
He has a very long journal that describes a perpetual grow systme using a PC case. He grows 12/12 from seed and uses LST. He usually has 3 plants going at one time at different stages, started about a month apart. He also uses feminized seeds..
Did you build your case or buy one from ebay?

Day 21: May 26, 2010

Not much change with my baby. I decided that I will veg her for only 30-40 days since I'm working with 18.6in of space in my PC. I will only start flowering when my baby is about 8-9 in tall. This will give me 9 more inches of growth.

These 2 babies are 12 days old (24/0 light cycle) and will go into veg stage when they are 15 days old.

I just realized that I posted in the wrong section. This is a journal not a Thread, newbie mistake!!! This is my 1st grow and I still need all the help and advise I can get.

Day 24 veg: May 29, 2010 I have some yellowing spots on my leaves, so I decided to flushed my baby with plain pH water. Take a look and tell me what you if I was correct.

Day 26: May 31, 2010

The damn lights fell on my Baby!!!! I'm going to keep growing her and hope for the best. Here are pics of my baby.

Day 27: June 1, 2010

I decide to LST Baby because she has a lot of small leaves that need to get some light. I also watered her real good with just plain water. Check out Baby and Sassy (because the plant already has some character) from the Reserve Crew. The other member of the Reserve Crew got burned from the lights falling on it but I will still try to grow it.

I decided to top both Baby and Sassy. Hope they come out ok. Sassy need water so I gave her ph water only. Check them out.
