PC Grow box build help

Hey all,
So here's what's up. I have a antique computer case, and am in the process of converting it into a grow box. The interior dimensions of the box are 16"x6"x20" (DeepxWidexTall) What would be my best choice for for bulb selection for this case. I was looking at it, and I may be able to fit four 42 watt CFLs, but I may not be able to unscrew them without dismantling the whole thing. Would two work OK?

I have ordered some Short Rider seeds from Nirvana, and plan to grow these in there over the winter, and build a supply of seeds for next spring, and plant a whole slew of them out side.

Thanks for the help.

Man even cfls will get hot as fuck in such a small space. Make sure you got at least one fan exhausting that hot air out. Two 42 watt cfls would work for a while but youd eventually need more as the plant grows. Good luck wit that bro.

so is this like ... hey look at that old ass computer case, bro, its an antique, its like a museum piece, can I check it out, i have never seen one like that, its cool seeing something like that so up close, wow bro, its ancient, i bet you its worth a lot.

if so, what is the point ?

I would look up specs of pc grow boxes for sale! they got all the specs down as far as how they made theirs, I am planning on makin one too, plannin on using either a 105w or 150w cfl, (only one socket needed) and using one input and two output fans. Also, I found a few interesting ideas from other ppl who did it by lookn up on google images n stuff. g/l!

Made some changes today. Going with 6 27 watt bulbs instead of four 42s (now a total of 126 Watts). I will have a sheet of plexi as a barrier between the lights and the grow area to help with heat, with will be vented directly out. Not to bad for cell phone pics.

good idea with the plexi glass man, i have a case and am currently switching it from 4 27w bulbs to a 125 w cfl. i cut out a hole on top for a 6 in pc fan for sucking hot air out. good luck.

PLNelson can always put the plants on a platform to raise them up to the lights.

Just finished mine the other day as well :)

You are def going to need like 4 fans in there haha =P I just finished mine a week or so ago and it runs nice. 2 Intake fans and then 2 outake going out the stripped PS :)

The lights get warm but never too hot to touch. The 6 bulbs will be plenty of light, most only run 4 23-27 watters

Also why plant a bunch of Short Bus seeds outside?? Short plants made for tiny space indoor growin?? =P
