pc fan and carbon filter position

if you were top use a pc fan at the grow tent's exhaust ,to push air outside......where would be best to put the carbon filter?Inside the tent...to suck air? .,,or outside so that smelly air be blown through it?

you should suck air thru the carbon filter, not push air into.
