Paraphinelia charge... what to do?

Hey all,
I recently got "caught" with a bong. Now I have a paraphernalia charge.
Obviously, I live in he South where taxpayer dollars are still wasted on us
"Law-Breakers". How can I mitigate these charges? I'm broke, so I got a court-appointed attorney.
BTW- the bong was purchased at one o the MANY head-shops around here... Nice, huh?

$500 bucks or so to an average lawyer and they will get it off your record in my state. Was it a RooR bong by chance?

That sucks...I guess it would be easier to just use cig papers if getting caught would result in such a fine. Hindsight is always 20/20...I know. Never understood how some people walk/drive around with these items on their person if it's illegal. If you don't want to give up your freedom...relocate to a place where people are more open minded as mentioned. Sorry for your loss...should be a crime to waste tax dollars fighting such an offense. So much for "the land of the free"!

That's why I never personally carry anything I can't eat. Certainly no pipes or bowls.
Get one of those little Tops plastic single cigarette rolling machines, some filter tubes. Hit bud with a grinder. Stuff it into a cigarette tube. Stuff weed filled cigarette tube into your smoke pack. I've done it on road trips several times and it's gotten me past the piggies when they rolled up into a campground to hassle people.
