Par Readings

Someone needs to test a pure white LED unit. No reason it wouldn't blow away all of the competitors when it comes to straight PAR - colored LED diodes aren't nearly as efficient and although the white diodes are wide spectrum most of it falls within the PAR range.

If you hit up aquarium forums you can find individual PAR readings for most of the actual diodes versus units. Pretty interesting to compare the PAR readings between colored diodes and the warm/cool white diodes if you haven't already done so.

It's a shame I can't actually edit the first post so I can make an easy thread list without people having to sift through the thread to find what they need but oh well. Keep em coming, any1 wanna try and find the par on the kessil h350s?
I 'preciate the data you're concentrating here...why not block and paste the first post with edits as a new post as things develop?

That's not as good as a solid, refreshed first post, but it's pretty easy to skim and find, and easy to do.

Anyway, thanks for the effort so far.

Personally, I'm torn between a couple of Penetrator 126-X2s and a whole shitload of BS 240s..the Penetrator tech is awesome (secondary lenses, modularity, 3W diodes, 3 year warranty, 90 day trial) but so's the ticket, while the bang-for-buck on the Blackstars is tempting.

Need...more...input...

We need a shared google spread sheet as a link on the first post and you can make it so public users are read-only, and allow additional trusted users to update the document as needed.
