Paper bag drying vs sun curing vs water curing

Sun curing? Heat and light will degrade your buds. Not recommended.
Paper bag / cardboard box retain humidity. Useful for dry climates.
Closet/wardrobe works well if your room temp and rh are good ( about 16-21 celsius and 50-60% rh ). Never heard of water curing.

Before I got my Harvest Right freeze dryer. I trimmed my weed down to bud forms, washed, salad spinner to whisk away moisture and then into paper bags to hang in my basement. Seem to work for the 2 years I used this method

But why wash them? Take that step out and you have the paper bag method.

Paper bag ftw easily. Heard nothing good about water curing and sun drying is bad idea. I cut the branches, remove fan leaves, two bucket wash, hang to dry for about 5-7days then into paper bag for up to another 5-7 days. Working very well for the past year for me.
Just to remove dust, dirt, possible bugs, pet hair etc, it doesn't hurt the dry/cure at all so why wouldn't you? You wash your veggies from the garden right?

Another thing with paper bags is, if your environment is really dry and the buds are still drying too fast inside the bags, you can put the entire bag inside a large plastic garbage bag for short periods of time to raise the humidity. Be sure you have several accurate hygrometers and make sure they are accurate. I change up my drying methods depending on the season, you need to be flexible.
Oh seems like a good idea i guess, i was thinking about doing it until stems almost snap, right?

I haven’t washed all my harvests but the ones I have done it for were because of either a) bugs or b) because of my dogs shedding
