ozone vs. carbon filter

I want to by a good odor removal device. I have been using a small carbon filter that works alright but I need to get something bigger and better to eliminate the smell. What would you recommend me buying a bigger carbon scrubber 6 x 14 ACTIVATED CHARCOAL FILTER ODOR SCRUBBER 130 CFM - eBay (item 180271854268 end time Aug-06-08 22:32:38 PDT) or an ozone generator OZN-1 Ozone Generator [OZN-1] - $149.95 : neHydro.com, Hydroponics and Gardening Supplies . I have two rooms right next to each other both are 3.5ft by 2ft by 7ft in my bedroom. I would like to put either device in my room and stop the smell there instead of putting one in each grow closet. my bedroom is 10 by 10ft roughly. any help is appreciated I plan to purchase item next week.

Since ozone can be harmful to the plants, and even more harmful to humans if its over used and under ventilated, You would be Much better off sealing the room and getting a carbon scrubber. The ozone generator wouldnt guarantee that it doesnt smell anymore either, most people use ozone after the air comes out the carbon filters.

I use a small ozone generator and my box has a carbon filter on it. NO smell at all.

Its not a matter of whats better, The two should be used in conjunction with each other. Smell is what gets a lot of growers busted, dont be afraid to spend the extra money, it could save you your freedom

I bought the carbon filter and it works great would highly recommend to anyone needing odor control.
