Outdoor Soil?

I'm growing outdoors this year. A Kush x Skunk cross. I'm putting quite a bit of money into seeds and don't have much money to improve my soil. I still want good quality buds. My question is this: is it enough to simply turn over the soil and transplant directly, or is there something I absolutely have to do? Try to keep suggestions to a minimal cost. Thanks everybody :peace::leaf:

At the very least turn the soil. Whether or not you need to add amendments to the soil will depent on the properties of the soil in the place(s) you plan to grow.

Holy fuck man. 300 is a lot.
Im sure you could till the ground and add lime and nutes to get a good harvest. It might not be ideal but if the soil is halfway decent would work.

Chongsbuddy, 5 gallon open grow bags, then I just mix 1/2 cup of 17-17-17 ossmocote with the soil from the ground?

mix 5 gallons of soil at a time with half a cup of osmocote,fill your grow bag up,plant your clone or seedling......make sure there is a good root mass....take a razor blade and take the bottom out of the bag and put down about 5 cups of lime and put your bag on top....if you do this in a wet area you might not have to water all season...but your plants will be fed all year...this is a great way to grow low maintenance...hope that helped..any more questions just ask bro...

you can grow 10 plants in 5 gallon grow bags with 1 bale alone,now cut that in half is 20,15 bales is only $400.if not be prepared to do more work than you think.....filling 300 grow bags with native soil....good luck bro.

Why not just do 50 mosters, savings on seeds can go to amending ur soil. And much less likely to attract the dea. just gueessing at a half unit per plant that leave you a 150 ok looking pounds or grow 50, 5 pound beast of high grade organic outdoor.

well, for starters, 300 plants is probably to big a number for you to handle. Especially if you cannot afford to properly grow them. It will be hundreds if not thousands of dollars at the very minimum to grow them to a good potential. Its a lot easier to check on 20 monster pound yielding plants, as opposed to 300 small quarter ounce plants. But if your intentions are to grow 300 plants, and you have no money to grow them, your best bet is to buy bagged slow-release all purpose fertilizer. 20-20-20, a 20 dollar bag will go a long ways. Keep in mind, that will only help give the plants some nutrients, that does not include any soil additives that help improve the soil. My advice, spend less money on seeds, and more on proper growing ingredients. I can see 300 plants not happening, you will overwhelm yourself, wasted a bunch of time and money, instead dedicate your time and money to fewer plants, and grow them up to be monsters, why not aim for 20 plants and try to yield a pound off each one?

P.S, you would have to spread out 300 plants like crazy, helicopters would spot that many plants in no time at all.

I buy coco bricks from any big garden center it will make 15 gallons for about ten dollars.

Coco adds air and holds moisture it's perfect for any soil type add some to every hole with some granular food and top dress later.

So say if I wanted to do less, like maybe 100 and I spend the money on proper ingredients. In indiana, if I were to use big pots and good soil, what would my yield look like? On average.

Between 60-100 pounds probably.
Do you have any experience with a grow even close to this big? 15 of my outdoor plants took up my entire 2 car garage just to hang and dry.that was less then 10 pounds of bud dry.

I have plenty space for everything. I haven't done something quite this big but it's an experiment.
