Outdoor Plant Suggestions

So I started this plant in late May, so it's a bit over a month old now and a little over 17 inches. I just wanted to post some pictures to get some advice and suggestions to see if there's anything I could do to help it grow into a decent plant that will actually produce something worthwhile. Some problems I've had are bugs eating the leaves, my plant is usually right near a raspberry bush, so I'm pretty sure that's why. I can't really tell if it's a female or a male. Also the top of the plant is flourishing while the bottom leaves seem to stay the same or dry up and fall off. Your help is GREATLY appreciated. :peace:

Really tiny pics, so it's hard to say. Judging from the first one, looks like you have a pretty lanky plant. I'd consider tying it down or supercropping to reduce its profile.

So i just tried a little bit of supercropping, We'll see how that works... until then Anyone else have suggestions on how to make the bottom of the plant more full? I failed to mention that there are 3 smaller plants surrounding the big one, and they're all in a small/medium pot... any chance of crowding? thanks again!

Crowding may very well be a problem, yeah. That's one of the reasons why most people prefer to keep only one plant per pot. Any chance you can transplant the little ones?

If they too close together the dominant one will overshadow the small ones and they will get shaded out. The tiny plants will act as if they are lower branches of the dominant one.
