outdoor grows getting shut down despite being legal??

hey

i heard this from 2 separate sources now. one at the hydro store from an employee and one from another grower. they are shutting ppl down despite having a script because of neighborhood complaints. is there any validity to this? i'm in norcal.

I'm just a tad south of you and last year my buddy had a huuuuge plant In his back yard and his neighbors complained and called the cops and he showed them his paperwork and they never came back.
but this is only one instance and every scenario is different.

Technically all they need is a complaint to shut you down legal or not. It doesnt matter. If its a problem tone them down nothing wrong with 4-5 footers.
