5 plants in a homemade DWC system

. i found an organic nutrient made for hydrogardens Its the botanicare line. im having a problem with a nutrient build up on my roots that looks like mud covering my roots. i changed the solution and flushed the roots till they were white again. I mixed the nutrient solution well and i have plenty of air tubes oxygenating the water. The plants still seem to be doing fine. there are no signs of nutrient burn except 2 small spots on 1 plant. but other than that they are green and lush! is the build up normal for organic nutrients? this is my first organic grow so any help will be appreciated

well i don't run DWC but my botanicare nutes build up on my pump and lines in my drip irrigation reservoir, so I can imagine the same happening on roots.

Sounds like you may be using "Hydroton clay pellets",if that is not rinsed first then you will see a reddish mud slime on the roots and some in the res,if not then (I dont know
)

im not sure the room never goes above 78 F i am using clay but i rinsed them well! before use. i know its the nutrient.. its dark like the organic plant stimulator. it looks like the stimulator is gunking over the roots.

if it's not showing negatively on the leaves, it's probably fine...my kauna cuttings have the same, and they're fine

Organic hydro is terrible in my opinion the organic nutes do not dissolve very readily and often cause all kinds of build up. If you are going to go organic stick with soil .

i loveeeee my organic hydro man, well for ebb and flow. We all have our diff opinions but i love them wayyyyy better than the non organic

heres a ex of hydro organic i grew:blsmoke:
Looks good! I am just kind of a clean freak when it comes to growing indoors and a dirty rez drives me crazy. Thats why I use ultrasonic foggers and chemical nutes. Just my style there is nothing lice good organic bud though I will not lie :mrgreen:

brontobrandon1 is good to hear you like your hydro organics i cant find anyone who wants to help me out!

Ive attemted one grow and it didtn turn out the way i wanted(if it wasnt for my girl leaving the air off).

well i love hydro and agree with you about soil seems alomost harder if not a constant pain in the ass watering and shit.
i use hids too so the soil would always be dryin out and shit.

anyways i made a bubbleponics hybrid dwc is this a good hydro set up for organics? or should i go with my waterfarm( which i used first grow but didnt like it because its only good to grow one in a huge ass bucket that i really only have room for. And im next grow i will be a indica/sativa mix unlike my first which was bagseed sative and pure sativa way to tall.
