Hello,
still on my first "grow" but I have gardened indoors for 6+ yrs now. I just recently discovered Living Soil methods, but have studied permaculture for 10+ yrs.
I have gardened for 9+ and only just got off using salts and tillage. My soils Indoors are just getting under way and my ladies are in mid to late flower. Aside from the spider mites, things have been well. I was wondering, if I am going to use an SST like popcorn, how would you go about building up to it for maximum effect???
As in: Feed w/ molasses to boost bacterial growth (food for the fungi and protozoa), then what next and how long to wait??? Like next maybe inoculate w/ Lacto?/!, then again wait? . . .How long then hit them with your magic enzyme juice?? Like, how long should I schedule this cycle for?? Also if you hit the Nitrous button too many times what happens??? It's an enzyme so . . .?
Also, I haven't learned much on the fermented SST's aside from making a concentrate??? Is this right? I work in commercial ag so seeds I'm finding to be tricky to source untreated. I will say this a bag of recleaned barley and a bag of popcorn are only 25 bucks each at the feed mill and that would last a fella some years . . .
I made corn SST from store popcorn and it was great. I froze half of the concentrate for future use. I'll be popping alfalfa seed this week and am curious about them as they are supposed to be so much hotter. . .
