Optimal harvests?

I was just looking for opinions as to getting maximum yields, looking to veg from clones for 2 months and then flower for 2 months or 9-10 weeks whatever it takes, in a 2x2x6 tent with a shelf in the middle to make for 2- 2x2x3 veg areas and one 2x4x8 flowering area with a 400 watt hps for flowering and cfls in both veg areas, how many plants should be grown and any opinions on strains would be great and def +rep for any good advice from anyone. Also I'd like to top them at around 4 weeks into veg cause I read that will increase yield
