opinions on best strain for easy-grow + potency

I'm not sure where to post this, so I doubled it up. I posted in "Newbies", but I'm growing hydro.

What are some opinions on the best strains to grow for high potency, but with a respectable yield of course? I hear some people talk about super high THC levels, but with plants producing pretty small yields.

I did some AK47 that was awesome production-wise, but could've been more potent; In the same grow, I some Afghan Kush that seemed way strong with THC, but produced about 1/3 as much as the AK47 quantity-wise, under identical conditions.

I'm looking at Big Bang from Greenhouse. Any other suggestions? I need a couple more.

What are some opinions on best bang for your growing buck?

Get some blue god. Heavy indica stone...good yield so long as you veg them 5-6 weeks, It's plant it and forget it in soil. Extremely light feed and water requirements..done in 8 weeks...might even go purple for you..

Higher thc and thc values in relationship to cbd and cbn values gives a motivational, energizing effect ( Pure Sativa's) and you are generally going to get smaller yields.

High cbd and cbn values with lower thc, and you get couch lock stoned. (pure indica's) indica's are generally easier and quicker to grow..and produce better yields.Making them the choice for 'pain" meds and cash croppers.

sativa's are grown for neurological disorders and connoisseurs

Hellz yes! dense nugs on that one.
I'd suggest a diesel if your looking for yield and potency. Maybe strawberry diesel?
And a completely overlooked strain is crazy miss hyde. Its a northern lights cross. Probably one of the most vigorous growing strains I've seen. Grows twice as big as most strains and yields pretty good. Has a LSD like high.

EDIT: haha attitude says its small...lol. its a monster believe me.

i grew skunk, loved the taste and the initial first couple times i smoked it, but build a quick tolerance to it. I suggest if you go with skunk which i loved growing and is very forgiving, to add in an indica plant to balance things out.

Big yielder but not very potent. GHS has a few good ones for both. Cheese, not Exodus, if the strain is still available, is a little finicky but can really put out under the right conditions. Great White Shark and Rino both have good POW and quantity through the roof...but just don't have a good taste...tastes like skunk! Blue widow from dutch also can yield huge, the thrich production is excellent. Don't know if all are still available but commercially they are all around here. JAS

I do not know why Skunk#1 is not grown by more new growers.
There can be some variety of phenos, my fave is the very floral sweet and spicy smelling and tasting one.
It is very easy to grow under many different conditions.

Never noticed any tolerance problems, but I always have at least 4 different strains to hit.

A good combo (old school) would be Skunk and Northern Lights...both yummy and potent...and easy to reach a nice harvest.

I did grow out some WW from GHS and was not impressed but it may have been my and my lack of skill (one of my first hydro attempts). I have had great success with White Russian in hydro and actually other than lack of taste it is a great smoke. My first WR grow came in at around 450 grams from 6 plants which to date was my best yield. I'm sure i could get more but i keep my veg time short at 15-20 days from seed.

I just tried sprouting 10 seeds from DNA Labs, which is the only one that sells it as far as I know and had 0 germination. I found out later that those seeds are notorious for germination problems, so unless you feel lucky, I would stay away from it.

White Widow is very nice, but can be a little fussy.
It is a slow grower in early stage of veg and displays a finicky attitude.
In my experience it is not one of the easier strains.
My fav WW so far was from Dinafem.

BTW
I grow in soil less mix only:bigjoint:

yeah ww is finicky to germ not even considering what medium you're using..just getting her to pop outta the gate is the issue for me..same with white rhino.
