Opinions about CFL's

So before I post this I know how great HPS is and im getting an actual grow tent soon but for the moment I build a custom box right now I have 5 plants inside 2 teen indicas and 3 almost teen sativas each with their own 100 watt cfl 4 inch above the plants. The whole box is metal taped to reflect the light. Does this sound good a total of 500 watts and 6k+ lumens?

lights need to be about an inch away from plants. go to the cfl section

Your lights are O.K. for now, You are gonna need more.... as close to the plants as possible without burning = 1/2 to 1" move them to that distance everyday and you'll do well.

You mean 23 watters right? 100 watt equivalent? Move up to 42 watt bulbs soon, then you can get some real bigguns; 85, 105, 150 watts (up to 600 watt equivalent!!) 1000bulbs.com 6500k for veg, the 2700k for flowering. 5000k full spectrum wont hurt either, esp for veg. mix em up!!
