Ontario_starting from seed_yield_discussion_imput

Hey so im basically starting to wonder about how this years guna go.

Buddy is starting from seed, (starting inside was not an option ) so hes guna just put the seedlings at the spot about a week old or less.

Check up very often, Maybe even put them in a shady spot so they dont dry out and die ? Its been very hot like 25 degrees celcius. And dry.

Is this even worth it if you want a decent yield?

is it worth starting from seed like that. And whats a good time to put in the ground? its like the begginning of may. and its good outside. want them in the ground and thriving asap.

Farmers almanac will tell you last frost dates.
or your local university should have some literature on frost dates locally

as an outdoor grower of northern ontario dont pick a shady spot, too cold , honestly i grow mine quite a bit indoor before i stick em outside,

You can make it work but those little seedlings won't be able to handle the stress of the environment like a month old plant.

I put out a couple week old seedlings my first year. Some died but most made it. I had to go and check them almost everyday because the kept falling over

If you don't have easy access it might be hard but let's face it. Trying to grow anything is better then nothing. It may all work out for you

I see. Usualy start indoor but couldnt this year. had success before with just starting the seedlings outside.

Might just throw up a tiny plastic cover for rain, and itll keep some of the moisture content.

The weather changes like a woman here. its been hot hot for the past while so pretty sure it good to go. Watch once ther in the ground it guna start hailing and snowing lol .
