Hey fellow growers!,

Its me again, so i was wondering how many CFL´s I will need to grow 4 plants in an 1 square meter (about 3 square foot) cabinet. Id really appreciate any advice on how many lights and where to put them, Also I can get any CFL´s but if possible id like to stay under 300 watts for the sake of my bill.

Thank you guys!

You could go with 3 100 watt 6500k for veg and 3 100 watt 2700k for flower and stay at your goal of 300 watts.

I would say like 1.5 per plant for first two weeks. That's 23 watt 100watt equivalent. The more the better. You'd prob want 3-4 per plant when flowering...

I had 6 23 watt 6500k for four plants for first two weeks then added two 32 watt T8s and two more 23 watt 2700ks

i'm using 480w of 24 w cfl's and i think it is pretty good, try to spread you're cfl's all around the plants and use reflectors, this way i think you can use less power

Thanks for all the replies guys! Ill be growing 4 auto AK´s for my first try! and Ill get some black and white foil ( I read that better than aluminum) to cover the inside of my cabinet. So from what I read i Guess ill get to bigger cfls (125 watts) and a couple small ones, and scatter the small ones all around the cabinet.
