old seeds?

Ok, so i chose to germinate my seeds in a ziplock bag with wet paper towels smothering them.
I tried putting them on top of my TV were it is dark, and warm. 3 days later, no sign of life so i moved them under the bed. 3 more days and still nothing??
the seeds are saved from my previous batches.
i read somewere i can cut off the bottoms, because the seed couldnt crack itself??? has anybody else heard of this method, or another method you could share? thanks.

sometimes bagseed have a little trouble sprouting, personally i start my seeds in dirt, (or rockwool hydro) put them in dirt or the cube, water very little once, continue to mist for 2-3 days, do not water, mist them daily, keep small plastic lids on them with little holes and you should have 95% success good luck (use a small cfl or a heat mat for warmth)

old seeds can be put in a match box and scrubbed

IMO, i have had better luck with just throwing seeds in the dirt then any other method.

hmm so many different methods. I think today i will try planting them. unless it sounds like a bad idea?
