have seedlings now and a closet setup with exhaust and intake, but have no idea on how to control odor or what is a better / easier method over another. :confused:

you dont have to worry about odor yet but your setup sounds legit for odor control. i think carbon is the best

Constant air flow is how you solve odor problems.
You need a constant flow of fresh air entering your grow area, and at the same time you need the air to be exhausted out of the room.

For example:
Let's say you were frying catfish on your stove. It would probably stink up the whole house.
But if you had a window open in the front of your house and another opened at the rear,
with an oscillating fan inside the house. You would hardly smell it at all.

Activated carbon filters work very well.
But you still need a constant flow of fresh air coming in.

You need to seal off your grow area so no air can seap out of the room except the exhaust ports.
